so its been a busy and fun weekend! Yesterday we went to the oro fair. The Cadets were helping out the western riders, the girls and i stuck around to check the fair out and help out since a bunch of cadets didnt show up..... The girls went on the pony ride at the midway, we got cotton candy and candy apples ( well, they did) and watched the barrel racing and such. it was a long day, followed by a long night...jay had me up LATE to MSN...he worked till 9pm his time, which is midnite my time, and he ate before going home, so it was 1am when he finaly signed on.....
This morning we did our chores and waited for dad to come on line so he could "see" the kids. chatted a bit and then we took off. first to collingwood, then down to nottawa to the apple orchard. we picked a peck of apples, and a quart of plums and it was pretty fun. Then we headed towards home, and i stopped at a farmers market and we got a few gourds to decorate the table, and maple sugar candy. Came home and had stew and buns for supper, and fruit for snacks.
I gotta say, im going to have some smelly kids when all this fruit kicks in.... we ate plums and apples in the orchard...apples at home, pears...bed time snack was peach-banana-blueberry smoothies..... tomorrow they have plums, apples, apple sauce packed for school...supper will have a big salad and corn with it... Cadie wants a smoothie for breakfast..... and there is a bunch of new veggies in fridge that we picked up fromthe store on the wya home ( couldnt find a veggie stand in our travels..i miss those in London..there was one right across the street from the building i lived in....allll kinds of veggies...) but we only bought Ontario veggies from the No Frills today....lol... So yeah, when all this goodness gets going thru their systems, they will be gassy...... they generally eat very well and balanced, but when ya get a bunch of stuff in the house that they picked by hand...they really want to eat it!!!!
well. im getting bleary-eyed, so im gonna grab my book and fight my way thru a few pags, then pass out!!
