Okay, so i didnt get back to writing yesterday as i said i would.....
I was wanting to include info like, my kids started highland last nite. Mishy is now dancing with the 4th and 5th years!!! She has just started her second year of dancing! We are so very proud of her. Cadie started Primary, and is dancing with other four and five year olds, its such a CUTE class!! Traven is dancing with a mix of first and second years..... One of the girls who is actually a third year, but is being kept with the beginners, who was in mishys class last year, is Pissed!! Its the one whom i believe i mentioned her mom had her nose all bent out of shape accusing mishy of not knowing the dance when they were practicing before the Potatoe fest show...dispite mish winning 3 medals the day before, dispite the fact that im certain she has seen that her daughter is watching mish during shows while they are dancing because she forgets the steps......When she found out Mish wasnt in her class, and was with the Big girls, she was MAD! I have enough class to not say "because she is a better dancer then you", but if her mom ever shoots me another snide remark, ill be putting her in her place. When this kid hautily asked Mary and I why mish was with the other class, i looked at Mary, and in her exellent Teacher Voice and poise ( she is also an elementary teacher outside of Highland dance) Kindly told the girl,, " Well, there was no room in the class for her because we put her brother in your class".
Traven has boys his age in his class which makes him happy..he was so worried..he wanted to dance, but not with a bunch of 6 year old girls!!! THere are some 10 yo boys, a 14 yo boy, and 2 10 yo girls.
Mish has her work cut out for her this year, as her time is alternating between two teachers..one week with mary and one week with maggie. mary does "national" dances ( still highland dnace, but they are more feminine dances, in a different costume), maggie does Highland. Mondays first lesson had her jumping right into the 6 step fling, where she had learned the 4 step. She also started learning a National dance, but...she still needs to learn the first two nationals, but has started learning the third. That can be a challenge when she competes next summer, because she will still be competing at the Beginner level. I think i may end up having to do Private lessons to sort it all out...
Other then that, im still sick....
Jay still doesnt know when exactly he will be home.
ooh ohh..gotta share...i havent been doing too great with my "self improvement"...between having bowel issues, and eatting excessive amounts of fibre and ice cream daily ( Bad i know, but No Name Ice Cream ALWAYS makes me have to "go"..and i was DESPERATE to "go" with all the pain i was in!!!) I did step up the Produce intake tho ( another form of Fibre) and am happy to say im down another pound. Yay!
Well, thats all i have to say at the moment....
ciao
