It snowed last night...... Yesterday i got up and all that was left were the reminants of ice snow banks.....it rained the night before and washed away all the snow. This morning i get up and open the drapes in my room and got an eyeful of a fresh blanket..... Ugh! As beautiful as it looks, im DONE with winter!!! The upside is, at the moment ( we all know how it changes..) the next 5 days are SUPPOSED to be precipitation free and above 0. My whole entire yard is a marsh... at the end of the yard is a pond, to the side of the yard is another pond. Its gonna take AGES for all this water to disappear, therefore ages till i can line dry even when the warmer temps arrive! I also dont think the next four weeks will dry everything up enough to do this years Egg Hunt outside. We have yet to be able to. Atleast this year, it SHOULDNT be as snowy as last year. Last year we went to Moms, and it was funny...i had put quarters into a bunhc of eggs, taped them shut and the night befor ethe egg hunt, Jay and i stood infront of an open window on the second floor of moms house and fired these eggs out into the back field.... What made this hilarious was the fact that there is a gentle slope down to the house from that back...all the snow had a nice slick crisp layer on top...so most of the eggs we threw out there, slid down the slope towards the house.... not too much of a challenge when the booty ends up being in a cache 10 feet from the back door...... it was fun for us to be in the window flinging these plastic eggs out tho and hearing them roll down the hill lol. I think this will be the first year since jay and i got together that easter will be in Mid April. I remember as a kid, Doing easter morning, then Michelle and i would pack up a picnic and have lunch out in the feild behind our house...and if it was chilly, on top of one of those "green boxes" (city thing....either the Phone lines or something..but it was big and green and locked and had a Do Not Open- Electricity Hazard" sticker on it...we didnt mess with them, just climbed up and sat cuz they were always warm....there wasnt snow, we would have our picnic and use our new skipping ropes, and it was Spring. Since i can remember, its still winter when we celebrate easter....
Anyhoo.... Im excited to be going to my moms tomorrow evening... the first night traditionally spent gabbing and sipping drinks and munching on tostitos and spinach dip... the second night much like the same..but we are not compelled to stay up till midnight like the first night. Jay is bringing the kids back on Sunday and i am staying up with ma till Thursday morning. It will be nice to have a bit of a break! Ill miss the kids like crazy, but they will have lots to do here with their friends.
Not too much else new around here....im hungery so i think i will go find some fruit, then continue with the packing for the trip, chores and Step this afternoon.... should also pull out whatever is for dinner....
Ciao
