So my Pumpkin Pies have come out splendidly, the pecan pie is still to be determined. I took a crack at Butter tarts, and although the process went well, i dont liek them..the recipe i found called for shortening....i feel there was the mistake. I suppose Butter Tart implies the use of BUTTER...not Crisco. Ill try again another day. I also made my mom her fav Orange Cranberry Oatmeal cookies. So i just have apple bread left to make and ill be done the baking for the weekend.
The rest of the morning was exellent too. Jay didnt have to be to work till 11, so after the kids went to school, and i hopped in the shower...he took advantage of the fact that Cadie was down stairs engulfed in her Show, and i was upstairs nekkid.
Looking forward to going to Momma's tomorrow. I think it will be a great weekend...the weather looks good.
