Grrrr

So, i am dealing with an ear infection. I HATE ear infections with a PASSION! I have had two absolutly severe ones in my adult hood, and i am soo hoping i have caught this one soon enough before it pregresses. I went and got new polysporin drops, and hope that works. Im thinking this one is due to having a head cold for 3 weeks. Its in the same ear as i usually get them too. I had a number of ear infections as a kid, because of my own stupidity...... Ya see..when i was in kindergarten in '84, i was playing in the house centre....and there was a vase of pussy willows. i picked off two buds...... i put one in each ear.......one came out...one didnt. Think i told the teacher? Nope. Think i told my mom? Nope. Think it eventually fell out? Nope! So I had a pussy willow stuck in my ear.....I had a few pretty bad infections after that....Think the Doc found it? Nope. Think i told the Doc? Nope. So in grade 1, in '86 i was home with an ear infection..... Well when my mom took me to the Doc, he noticed my ear was clogged and decided to irrigate it. Well, THATS when my wax coated pussy willow bud came out. They wondered where on earth this darn pussy willow bud came from......THATS when i told them that in Kindergarten i stuck one in my ear and was too embarassed and afraid of getting in trouble that i didnt tell! My ears were fine after that until a bad infection in '99, then i had a severe infection in '02 that had progressed so bad that i was starting to get swelling in my brain. I havnet had an infection since till now. With my cold my ears were bugging me so i got into swabbing daily, sometimes twice, and i think that aggrivated my ear, and caused the infection. SO now its driving me crazy to leave it alone and let it heal.

In other news, i am working on plans. Nothing major....we are having a Halloween Party on Saturday, so i am planning the menu and such and think i will do a cake for it. I want to keep practicing my cake design, so why not do one for the party. Im thinking of light orange fondant with Fall Leaves and sunflowers. Cadies birthday is the following weekend, and Im thinking blue with butterflies. I am also planning a cake for Jays Christmas Party. Its a potluck, and i figured i would do a Fondant covered cake that will look like a stack of gifts. I would love the chance to do a wedding cake! I wish i knew i could do this when Jay and i got married. Then i would have had an elegant 3 tier white fondant cake with a cascade of flowers and ivy on it...*Sigh* the best part about it is i had found a AWSOME fondant recipe, that tastes reeeeeally good, so it gets eaten, unlike Wiltons Fondant, which apparently tastes like Crap. We didnt go with a Slab cake from the grocery store like a lot of our friends, but we went with the (at the time very popular) cupcakes with a small round to save. We couldnt see spending hundreds on a "wedding cake" and it only costs me $15 to do a 2 tier decorated Fondant cake. So its Cheaper then the Slab cakes at the grocery store, and i just LOVE making them, i enjoy using my creativity. I did one for Mishys Birthday last year, and i did one for Sam and Megs Baby shower. Both were very lovely.

What else..i still need to do Jays costume for Saturday....but it will take no more then an hour. He wants to be Tarzan, so i bought some faux lepoard skin.

I need to pick up more tartan to make mish some more Kilts for Highland Dance. she loves the one i made her, but id like to make a couple more.
