huh???????

okay, so jay has this co-worker. he isnt exactly friends with him. He doesnt really like him at all. this co-worker has a fiancee. Im not exactly friends with her. I have spoken to her i think....6 times in the past 3 years. we dont hang out socially. we did invite them to a party once and they came for a couple hours.

So.....there is no...bond. the only ties is our hubbys working together.

well these two people are getting married in like a week and a half.....

they sent us an invitation... but were busy... and its all the way down south......

well, the fiancee is stressed right now. Her caterer wants $2000 on Monday.....

the wedding is the following Saturday........

She doesnt have the $2000.........

She actually eluded to borrowing it from US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF!!! If it were our dear friends B&D, we'd try....... these people are not "friends" of ours, they are aquaintances!!!

Also, who the f*ck gets a caterer- knowing the $ is due by x date, yet doesnt have it 6 days before x date??? What? was she waiting and hoping the $ gifts would cover it???? doesnt add up to me.

Call me old fashioned but i dont believe in financing a wedding for one, for two, i dont believe in caterers outside of the CF cooks. We saved for our wedding and did everything ourselves and had the food done by the CF, just like our friends in London. I have savings for the kids weddings and will have them saving for it and will be doing the food and cake myself for them. I dont believe ONE day should put you in debt, and i believe being smart can give you a nice day without costing the price of a car. I also REALLY dont believe in soliciting co workers and aquaintances for $ to cover the costs one didnt plan for. If someone does want a caterer and is quoted $2000....one should have that $2000 BEFORE they even Sign for it! I fully believe in scouting out what things will cost, then having that $ right there before committing to it. Life changes too quickly.... and no one else is responsible for other peoples "wants". Im only saving for my kids weddings because I want. I want mish and cadie to look like fairy princesses if they are willing. I want my son to have a nice venue so I can wear a beautiful dress (to be married in a legion hall perse definatly impacts the style of dress for the day lol) Call it living vicariously thru my kids because we had a pretty crappy wedding - and i cant see spending the $ on vow renewal when i have three kids.... but yeah, i choose to help fund a day (times 3) so it is beautiful and magical..cuz ill be there too..... Make any sense??? NNo i will not take over my kids weddings, and make it my own dream..... just Help make theirs a little special-er...and hope ONE of the three will have the kind of wedding that i can wear a beautiful red satin ball gown to the reception ( ill be a traditional MOTB for the ceremony...hahaha) and have beautiful outdoor twinkle light lit, moonlight reception with lots and lots of yummy food and an amazing wedding cake made by moi~
