Happy Easter!

So, the day started at 5am....well actually maybe more around 9pm last night.....
Last night i got tj and mishys Hunt together. I wrote them both a rhyming letter to tell them what to expect, with a riddle to where the first clue was. which led them to the next and the next.... it started with looking under Cadies bed, then in the cereal box, their shoes, the SUV, the mailbox, our friend Andys, back to our shed, the pick-up truck, to the BBQ, to the washing machine, microwave, couch, linen closet, and ending under my bed. For cadie i did a somewhat obvious trail to the livingroom ( which i explained in the kids letters so they wouldnt scoop up her 'treasure'), with eggs around the livingroom, and had a basket with a puzzle and bubbles and sand toys hidden.

once that was done, MIchayla and i started dinner. she helped me make the stuffing, and the lemon merangue pie...which we messed up...but it will be fine! llmao...ive made plenty of lemon pies, but for some daft reason, this time... i totally forgot that its only egg yolks in the lemon.... mish put in whole eggs...ohh well, i just cooked it longer and we will just have to look past the lil lumps of cooked egg white. it tastes fine..actually a little less sweet then usual which we dont mind at all! She also helped me get the cauliflower broken apart too, and she will help with the buscuits later. I figure at 10 she is old enough to start her cooking training. i had started at 8 years of age with my Domestic training. Ive already been working with traven on his cooking, and he can manange a few things. i believe if i teach them how to cook now they will have a good foundation, and wont burn everything when they get to college, and will eat at home more then out, or not stick to Processed things. Jay cant really cook, so i want to make sure Traven is a good cook before its too late. Ive been trying to teach Jay for 5 years, and he still drives me crazy with the constant questions and such over things ive told him a hundred times.

i digress..... im excited about tonights dinner..... well mostly.... i didnt make my Family Stuffing, i made Jays. i have to compromise so that we can have MY families at Christmas. i dont quite like bread stuffing, i prefer our Traditional sausage stuffing.

well, i should go see if there is anything i can prep or such in the meantime..... might sew too if there is nothing that cna be done till 4pm..
